The Dalai Lama on Religion: Your Thoughts?

Following is a quote from the Dalai Lama, taken from his Facebook website. Please share your thoughts on this in the “Comment on This Post” section:

“All the world’s major religions, with their emphasis on love, compassion, patience, tolerance, and forgiveness can and do promote inner values. But the reality of the world today is that grounding ethics in religion is no longer adequate. This is why I am increasingly convinced that the time has come to find a way of thinking about spirituality and ethics beyond religion altogether.”

How do you feel about the Dalai Lama’s claim?

Nowadays these “inner values” are rightfully questioned for being “externally controlling” dogma. Ethics and spirituality don’t naturally arise from a well reasoned understanding of the world, for these things to remain cogent as inner values means they are what I add to experience as I live life. The Lama is correct: religion is dairy long past its sell-by date. Whomever is running the NWO agenda to turn us all into gay godless socialist slaves needs to step it up before we all starve.

    • Michael Greenker says:

Whoever’s running the NWO agenda still needs religion to destabilize Middle-Eastern and American politics, at least for the foreseeable future.

      • noctilucence says:

Whoever is promoting the NWO nonsense still needs the religions which enable folks to believe in fairy tales like the NWO. I sure hope D Lamaster is the Anti-Christ on Thursdays, at least.
