Take Me Out to the Dog Park: Ziggy Norworth for Nora Bays

Dolly Dachsund loved chasing balls
That’s a pastime that never palls
She considered that day a waste
If at the end no ball had been chased
So when Jocko, her Scotty pard,
Growled, “Let’s play in the neighbor’s yard,”
She put her feet down and answered, “No!
Jocko, there’s only one place to go:

“Take me out to the dog park
Take me out with the pack
A biscuit will leave me quite crackerjack,
I won’t whine if we never come back
We’ll chase, chase, chase and retrieve it,
We won’t quit until dark
For it’s run, jump, catch every ball
At the old dog park.”
