Honesty changes everything,
but its hard to see when we refuse to look.
Anger and resentment steal our hours
when we’re trapped inside our fears.
Friendship matters. Appearances don’t.
Misguided judgments are as useless
as the imaginary ideals we impose on others.
Chiseling a proper likeness from marble
is still working with stone.
I used to ask others to serve my fantasy.
Now I focus on my own symphony of thoughts
to reinvent myself in the moment.
What I can’t control must be left alone.
