Biography:
The Verdict, with founders Mike Louis (lead guitar/vocals), Ken Bailey (drums/vocals), and Darcy Martineau (bass), got its start in 1989. It its early years, The Verdict played many well-known local clubs, entertaining club-goers with a variety of rock standards and original tunes.
In 1994, they welcomed keyboardist Doug Hall, and the band quickly expanded its repertoire to include a much wider variety of songs and genres. As a result, The Verdict quickly gained popularity, and over the next decade, built a substantial fan base.
In 2008, 18 years after its inception, the guys decided to take a hiatus. In 2012, the original members reformed with Mike Selby on keyboards, with the goal in mind of moving beyond the club scene to specialize in private functions.
The newly-reformed group’s first outing was to play a festival in Eureka, Montana, followed by the Colorado Springs Beer Festival and Stargazers Theatre and Event Center in 2014. The Verdict looks forward to playing some more local summer festivals and venues around town.
